Hit the road for one of these four trips over the American south.
- New Orleans to Houston, Louisiana, Texas: Along this route, you will see everything from refineries to contemporary art. Make a donut pit stop at the buttermilk drop bakery in New Orleans. Don’t forget to visit the Oak Alley Plantation, an hour west of Nola. Spend some time exploring the Gothic architecture in Baton Rouge.
- Atlanta to Jekyll Island, Georgia: Georgia is a Hollywood hotspot- Several popular TV shows film throughout the state. You will recognize downtown Jackson from different scenes in Stranger Things. - Civil rights Trail Tennessee, Alabama, and Louisiana: Civil rights Trail is packed with remarkable landmarks and exhibition halls. Additionally, you can visit the National Civil Rights Museum at the Lorraine Motel in Memphis. Dr. Martin Lther king was killed at the Motel in 1968. Go through Montogomery to view America’s first commemoration to lynching victims. Stop by the oldest black neighborhood in the country, Treme, in NOLA.
- Houston to El Paso, Texas: Appreciate artwork at one of 16 galleries in Marfa, a small town in West Texas. Getaway to Big Bend National park camping, hiking, and river rafting.
