Kid Cudi Dedicates Coachella Performance to Nipsey Hussle and Mac Miller
Before performing the final song of his set at Coachella on Saturday night, “Pursuit of Happiness,” Cudi asked the crowd to help with the dedication.
“This next one, I wanna dedicate this to Mac Miller and Nipsey Hussle. And I want ya’ll to sing this s— as loud as ya’ll can, promise me.” -Kid Cudi, via Complex
Hussle was gunned down in Los Angeles on March 31 of this year near his clothing center. Thousands of people gathered at the Staples Center earlier this week to honor the beloved rapper and community activist.
Miller died from an apparent overdose on Sep. 7, 2018. He had revealed his battles with substance addiction at the time.
The “Man On The Moon” also surprised fans with a few other notable songs.
In addition to performing hit tracks from throughout his career, Cudi also performed cuts from his collaboration with Kanye West, Kids See Ghosts.
Some of those songs included, “Reborn” and “4th Dimension.”
