Netflix Is Developing a Print Magazine
Netflix has now come up with publishing a brand-new print magazine.
The journal will be tentatively known as ‘Wide’ and began circulation this June. The content in ‘Wide’ will promote Netflix shows and actors in them.
The streaming provider is expected to win over hearts and minds by publishing a series of interviews and essays with the top talent behind its shows.
The free magazine will debut around the same time voting on Emmy nominations is held. The first issue is expected to consist of over 100 pages for which Netflix has already hired writers and photographers, including ex-Vanity Fair editor Krista Smith.
The 71st Primetime Emmy Awards is scheduled to be held on September 22.
Despite lots of nominations at last year’s show, no Netflix programs won in any big categories, such as best drama series or best comedy series.
The streaming giant debuted around 700 types of media content in 2018. They included TV shows, movies, documentaries, and other programs.
