Robert Pattinson Set to Star in Matt Reeves’ ‘The Batman’
After much speculation and rumors, Robert Pattinson is officially in talks to suit up as the caped crusader.
Rob Pattinson is best known for portraying teen vampire Edward Cullen in the Twilight film series. The star has completed his negotiations with the studio to take on the role of Batman.
Pattinson was the frontrunner on a list of contenders that also included Armie Hammer, Nicholas Hoult, and Aaron Taylor-Johnson.
In 2017 Ben Affleck stepped away as both director and star of the franchise.
The project is titled ‘The Batman’ and will be directed by the Planet of the Apes director Matt Reeves.
As for the film’s plot, very little is known but Reeves told The Hollywood Reporter in January that, “You cannot have Batman without a villain.”
In a recent statement, he also revealed that the latest draft of the script is almost complete.
